What are Greyhound Racing Cards?

Greyhound race cards are traditionally printed on paper and available at racing tracks. When you arrive at the track, you pick up a race card for that day or evening to see which dogs are running in which races. Race cards often also give additional information about each greyhound, like their trainer and recent form.

How Do Racing Cards Work?

To see a greyhound race card at BoyleSports, click on a dog race at the top of this page. You’ll see the race names and times of all the races running today that we cover – like the 15:49 at Doncaster or the 17:51 at Oxford. 

Alternatively, click on All Race Cards to see all the greyhound racing cards we have for today from UK races and from around the world. You can select future races on the right-hand side of the page, to find greyhound racing cards for tomorrow and beyond.

After you click on a race, you’ll see a summary race card below, listing each dog running. The place and time of the race are shown at the top of the card, as is a reminder of how many minutes are left until the race starts. For many of our dog races, if you’re logged-in you’ll even be able to click on a link to watch the race live-streamed to your screen.

For each greyhound running, on our race cards you’ll see its trainer listed below the dog’s name, as well as its unique identifying number and betting odds.

The odds next to each dog on the summary race card are for placing a Win Or Each-Way bet. You can select other bets by clicking on the options at the top of the race card. These include betting on the inside or outside traps, or betting on odd or even traps. Click on See Full Card below the listed dogs to access more betting options for that race.

Greyhound Racing Cards and Betting Odds

You’ll see a range of betting options on our greyhound race cards, including:

● Win Or E/W: Bet on that dog to either win the race or to place (finish 1st, 2nd, or 3rd).

● Betting W/O Trap 3: Bet on a greyhound to win or place ignoring the dog that runs in trap 3.

● Inside Vs Outside: Bet on traps 1, 2, 3 or traps 4, 5, 6.

● Odds Vs Evens: Bet on traps 2, 4, 6 or traps 1, 3, 5.

All the odds on our greyhound race cards are written as fractional odds, like 10/1. With 10/1 odds, this means you’d make 10 times the amount you bet if you win. If you bet £1 at 10/1, and you won, you’d win £10. Plus you’d get your £1 stake back, for a total of £11.
